Initially, Cejudo scheduled to face former UFC and WEC featherweight champion Jose Aldo in the fight to defend the title. However, the Brazilian cannot get to the United States due to an expired visa.

Cejudo – Current Bantamweight champion, 4th double champion in UFC history and 2008 Olympic Gold Medalist

This will be the first fight where Cejudo defends his bantamweight title since last June when he claimed the belt.

The 35-year-old Cruz has not entered the octagon for almost four years as a result of constant knee injuries. The legend of the lightest weight had to take a long pause twice.
Bookmakers gave an advantage to Cejudo in this tough match.
