When does the Australian Open 2022? Start Dates
The 2022 Australian Open runs from Monday, January 17 through Sunday, January 30, and takes place on the hard courts at Melbourne Park in Melbourne, Australia. The Australian Open is one of the four Grand Slam tennis tournaments and attracts thousands of spectators every year. The main stadium can accommodate 15,000 people, with 4,500 seats available in the stands. There are also several other smaller venues where matches take place.
Although the contest has just begun, it has not been without trouble. Novak Djokovic, the world No. 1 who is unvaccinated, was eventually deported. He will not compete after appealing his visa denial to the Australian immigration office many times. Australian officials rejected his visa, restored it, and rejected it again. It could hold him out from the 2023 and 2024 tournaments as well.
